Airport Advertising in Canada · Terminals, Spectaculars and Baggage Claim
YOUR BRAND
AT EVERY
DEPARTURE GATE
Digital spectaculars, flight information screens, baggage claim and terminal formats at Canada’s busiest airports, from Toronto Pearson and Vancouver to Montréal-Trudeau, Calgary and Halifax.
WHAT MAKES
IT WORK
Airports hold an audience in one place for longer than almost any other out-of-home environment. Passengers queue at security, wait at the gate and stand at the baggage carousel, with time to take in a message and, often, a phone in hand.
The audience splits cleanly by zone. Departures reach outbound business and leisure travellers; arrivals and baggage claim reach visitors landing in a city and residents coming home; transborder and international areas reach travellers to and from the United States and overseas. Astral describes the airport audience as affluent and active, and receptive to advertising during long waits.
HOW WE
BUY IT
Canadian airport media is sold by the airport’s exclusive media partner. Pattison Outdoor holds Vancouver (since March 2024), Calgary, Edmonton, Billy Bishop and a national network of international and regional airports, and announced a 10-year exclusive partnership with Toronto Pearson in January 2026. Astral sells Montréal-Trudeau, Halifax Stanfield and Québec City.
We plan the airport, terminal and zone around who you need to reach, buy direct from the media owner, and combine airport formats with roadside and transit in the same city when the brief calls for it. From a single baggage claim screen to a national airport takeover.

AIRPORT ADVERTISING IN CANADA, ANSWERED
Who sells airport advertising in Canada?
Two media owners sell most Canadian airport advertising. Pattison Outdoor lists Toronto Pearson, Vancouver, Billy Bishop Toronto City, Calgary and Edmonton among its major airports, plus international and regional airports including Victoria, Kelowna, Winnipeg, Regina and Saskatoon. Astral (Bell Media) lists Montréal-Trudeau, Halifax Stanfield and Québec City. Both currently list Ottawa, so we confirm the seller at booking.
How many passengers use Canada's largest airports?
Pattison reports almost 47 million passengers at Toronto Pearson in 2024, over 24 million a year at Vancouver and 19.4 million at Calgary in 2025. Astral reports more than 22.4 million passengers at Montréal-Trudeau in 2024 and over 4.1 million at Halifax Stanfield in 2025.
What airport advertising formats are available in Canada?
Formats include digital screens beside flight information displays, digital pylons and showcase screens along terminal corridors, luggage carousel screens, digital ribbon screens beside wayfinding, gateway TV screens, murals and hanging banners, backlit airport spectaculars and special executions such as a vehicle display inside the terminal.
How much does airport advertising cost in Canada?
Neither Pattison nor Astral publishes airport rates on its airport pages, so pricing is quoted per campaign. Cost depends on the airport, the terminal zone (departures, arrivals, baggage claim, transborder), the format, the number of screens or sites, share of voice on digital screens and the length of the campaign.
Can airport advertising target international or transborder travellers?
Yes, through site selection. Terminals separate domestic, international and transborder passengers, and Pattison reports that over 6 million passengers a year cross the US-Canada border through Vancouver. Placing creative in the relevant zone reaches that traveller group rather than the whole airport.
